Voucher & Coupon Terms

Terms and conditions for redeeming vouchers and coupons as part of promotional campaigns on www.mediarath.de.

The following terms apply to all vouchers and coupons issued by mediarath, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Definitions and General Terms

Coupons are promotional codes that cannot be purchased but are issued by mediarath as part of marketing campaigns. These reduce the shopping cart value by a percentage (e.g. 10%) or a fixed amount (e.g. €10).

Vouchers (e.g. gift vouchers) can be purchased and reduce the cart value by a fixed amount (e.g. €10). They may be subject to different terms and conditions, which will be communicated separately.

The specific redemption conditions for each voucher or coupon are communicated directly in connection with the respective code.

Usage

• Each voucher / coupon may only be used once per customer and order.
• Only one voucher / coupon can be used per order.
• Combination with other vouchers or coupons is not permitted.
• Cash payouts or retroactive application to previous orders are excluded.
• Vouchers / coupons can only be redeemed in the online store at www.mediarath.de.
• The resale or public distribution of vouchers / coupons is not allowed.
• Vouchers / coupons from direct mailings (e.g. flyers included in parcels) are exclusively intended for existing customers who have already placed at least one order at mediarath.de.
• Vouchers / coupons are non-transferable to other customer accounts.
• Products purchased through pre-orders are excluded from voucher redemption.
• Shipping costs are not eligible for discounts.
• Vouchers / coupons cannot be used to purchase gift cards, books, or magazines.

Validity

Vouchers / coupons issued during promotional campaigns expire at the end of the promotional period as stated on the website or in newsletters. They can only be redeemed during the specified validity period.

For printed vouchers (e.g. flyers or package inserts), the redemption period is technically stored in our system. The validity ends automatically when this period expires – regardless of when the flyer was received or distributed.

Subsequent redemption or extension of the validity is not possible.

Minimum Order Value

In some cases, vouchers / coupons can only be redeemed if a minimum order value is reached. This requirement will be clearly stated together with the respective voucher or coupon.

Technical Redemption Information

Vouchers / coupons must be entered during checkout or in the shopping cart. If a code is expired or invalid, the system will display a corresponding message. In such cases, no claim for later redemption exists.

Return of Items

If items are returned, the refunded amount corresponds to the reduced purchase price. There is no entitlement to a refund or replacement of the original voucher / coupon used.
