The Shelly 2PM Gen3 is the upgraded third-generation version of the popular Shelly Plus 2PM, offering significantly higher performance, faster response and improved stability thanks to the new ESP-Shelly-C38F processor. It can switch and meter two independent circuits, or operate in motor/shutter mode to control two directions of a motor (e.g., up/down for roller shutters, blinds or screens).
The module works fully locally over Wi-Fi, with or without cloud connectivity, and can be installed behind standard wall switches or inside junction boxes due to its compact size. Both channels include their own switch inputs, allowing the continued use of existing wall switches while providing remote control, automation and real-time power metering.
The Gen3 platform adds advanced capabilities including offline schedules, sunrise/sunset automations, mjS scripting, webhooks, virtual components and a Bluetooth gateway function for Shelly BLU sensors. Built-in protection against overheating, over-voltage and overload ensures reliable in-wall operation even in tight spaces.
With support for MQTT, REST API, Home Assistant, openHAB, ioBroker, Domoticz, SmartThings and more, the Shelly 2PM Gen3 is ideal for both simple smart-home setups and complex automation environments — fully local and cloud-independent.
